They're Back!
Yes Sex and the City is over but the Sopranos are back! The season opener was so-so but check out the cast photo by Annie Leibovitz. It's really amazing. It reminds me of the Hell scenes in that crappy movie What Dreams May Come (The story was crappy but the movie had some great imagery in it). I'm looking forward to watching Steve Buscemi join the cast as Tony's fresh out of prison cousin. Last thing I saw him in was that Tim Burton film Big Fish. There was one scene that made me laugh with him in it. Otherwise the movie as a whole was pretty slow.
On another note, Dawn of the Dead comes out this week. I love love love Zombie films. It'll probably suck but I'm trying to remain positive. The original is of course, the best zomie movie EVER. I'm kind of wondering how they're going to explain why the zombies in the new version can sprint while in the old version they could barely drag one leg. My friend Jeremy said this is terribly un-realistic since Zombie's OBVIOUSLY move slow since they're already dead, brainless and are falling apart. While I had to question the use of the world "realistic" in his statement I'd have to agree. Maybe we're becoming so de-sensitized to zombie movies that filmakers had to pick up the pace and make it even tougher for the non-zombie folk to survive. Although my other question would be if the zombies in this film are so agressive and quick, why can they still not break down the doors of the mall that the survivors take refuge in? I mean what's the deal there? As you can see I've put a lot of though into this. The things I do with my time.
