The Web Has Everything
There's actually a Todd Gaines Fanlisting! That's hilarious. In case you don't know who this is, it's the drug dealer character that Timothy Olyphant played in Go.
On another note, Shawn's Karaoke night was fun. There was a much bigger turnout this time. Jackie, Jeremy, Johnny and I had a ping pong rematch. It was Johnny and I versus Jackie and Jeremy again. I'm pretty sure we owned them this time around. Hellboy was okay. I don't think I'd see it again in the theater. There were some suspenseful moments and some pretty amusing bits. I liked the weird fish man character Abe a lot. I thought the creepy guy with the knives and the gas mask was pretty cool too. The only problem was not really knowing a lot of the back story and the slow plot points. It was a bit hokey in parts too and seemed really long. I'd like to actually read all the comic books now to find out what's so cool about it. My friends seem to really like them.
Anyway, I'm definitely seeing Dawn of the Dead again in the theater! A couple guys in the ticket line in front of me were asking the ticket salesgirl what she thought of Dawn of the Dead. She said it was just okay. They bought their tickets anyway and I told them that it kicked ass! (silly ticket girl!) They asked me if I was a horror afficionado and I said definitely! I knew my zombie films and that was a damn good zombie film! Well worth seeing. They told me that Hellboy was slow and mediocre and that it took a long time to really get into the plot, but the effects were good and then they told me I should go see Dawn of the Dead with them. Hee. :)
My goal is to go to bed right after I post this. Last night I was up WAAAAAY too late. I felt like crap today and barely made it through my workout. Insomnia sucks. More Ambien please Mr. Physician! I predict I have to work late tomorrow and Friday night and that I might even have to come in Saturday afternoon. Stop the hurting.
Oh the Anon Salon party Saturday night was SO MUCH FUN. I can't wait to go to the next one. I've been to some good parties, but I haven't had that much fun in a long time! We even had some shots of Absinthe on the rooftop when we were there. It was vodka based but still had the green color and the crappy tasting herbs. It was poured over sugar for us so it wasn't too gross tasting. Didn't feel any effects from it though, if you know what I mean. The Absinthe I got in Paris tasted like licorice as it should but when my friend drank it he was a) grossed out by the taste and b) felt no effects from that either. Next party I should dress up, or so says Shawn. I don't think I'm creative enough for that. I'll try to think of something though just in case I have some inspiration.
