Blog Share

So my friends have started putting up their own blogs. It's fun to read what other people have to write especially people I know. Some are anonymous while others have no problem letting the world know who they are. Sometimes I wonder if I should have kept mine anonymous. I think my writings might have been a bit more in depth and interesting had I done so.

I started reading the blog of a new blog friend recently. The best part about her blog is that it's completely anonymous. No one in her life knows she writes it and she changes peoples names in it. That gives her the freedom to post every little thing about something that happens to her. What I mean by that is she can talk shit and no one will be the wiser. I don't mean just trash talking but talking about things that may not always be pleasant for the people involved to hear. Real things though and real happenings. Or things about herself that she may not want to share with people she knows (I hope I'm stating this right <--- see what I mean).

I can't post as much detail on my blog because too many people I know read it. Sure I have a lot of feelings and thoughts about life and love and happiness and sadness and the day to day. But what's okay to say? Not much without pissing someone off, or peaking someone's interest about something that's probably none of their business, or getting in trouble for saying the wrong thing. But then again, blogs are public things, and why do we all blog anyways? Random strangers come and read about our days and the things we do, and why do we want this kind of attention? I guess it's a way to be heard. I like to think of it as an excercise in learning how to write in a way that will make people want to read it. That's why I started it at least.

Now it's more of a way to express myself and communicate. It's like talking to a friend and rambling without having to call them up and drive them crazy. Some people blog aboutinteresting movies, or events or reviews and some people blog the day to day. To each their own. I like a bit of both myself. I'll continue to weigh out how much I will and won't post on here in the future. So far the most reaction I've gotten is a phone call questioning why I would post certain feelings about a situation and a nasty comment about another "sharing" post. Not everyone's going to be happy all of the time. That's human beings for ya.

At first, I was tempted to to advertise my blog on my domain. But that would be crazy. Do you know how nuts people would get if they found how what I do and how I think? Not that they care *that* much, but they sure would dish about me. And to god knows who...

Start an anonymous blog for rants-only and just don't tell anyone. Very theraputic. You could list it, so strangers could read, but no one else.
