Lights OUT
So the power went out at work today as I was on my way out. No biggie for me. But man, I could have left a MINUTE sooner as the parking lot and surrounding streets were full of cars as everyone stampeded out of the buildings like rats from a sinking ship. The body wasn't even cold, damn! I wonder if the power is back on yet? I hope it stays out for a day or two and we don't have to go to work like when we were kids and school was snowed in. Well at least when I was a kid in elementary school in Michigan. Ohmygosh, that would rock! Of course I'm sure that won't be the case. Work sucks like that.
I saw Kill Bill Vol 2. tonight finally. Um. I liked it, but man was I tired afterwards. It sure was "wordy". Tarantino really likes his long drawn out character monologues. Like Bill's whole comic book hero analogy. Zzzzz. Get to the point already! I felt like that a few times during that movie. It was still a good movie nevertheless. They pretty much explained just about everything you might have wondered about the story line. As Johnny said, there really wasn't much to discuss afterwards. I'm interested to see how the whole thing flows as one movie when it finally comes out altogether on DVD.
Tomorrow is Toby's first day at Dog's Life Day Care. I took a little tour today and Toby got to run around with some of the dogs. He really loved it and I thought the facility was adorable. They're very new and just getting their clientele built up. I hope they're successful! We'll see how Toby likes it over the long run but it looks great. Now that dogs have been banned on campus I'm not the only msft dog owner that will be leaving their dog there during the day. Toby will only be going about once a week since he spends Mondays and Fridays at the house with Johnny's dog Luci and they get to go to the park during lunch and after work on those days. Duh me but there's a friggin' huge park including an off leash area for dogs a block from here. I guess I never walked him THAT direction. Silly.
Tonight I will attempt to go to bed early since I have to be up early to get Toby to day care. I want him to get his full day there! Plus Kammie's coming into town tomorrow evening and I want to be able to jet out of work at a decent time to see her. She'll be visiting at my place for two days then heading down to Santa Cruz this weekend. I always LOVE her visits. It's nice to see a good friend that you've known for years and can trust. Sometimes I feel that I just don't get to see enough of my really close friends. Having Cristy in Seattle and Kammie in Vermont makes things tough sometimes. Anyway, it will be great to see her.
Okay time to clean up the place, then get ready for bed. Or force myself to at least. I've been having some freaky messed up dreams again. Maybe it's too many horror films. I'm not sure how to "improve" the quality of my dreams. I'll take any suggestions anyone might have though!

My friend Patrick's band is debuting at his space on 5/21 -- it's also his 40th bday party. Should be a kickass time! I hope you can come - 1310 Mission
