Monday Monday
Wow the blogger dashboard interface thing has totally changed. For the better I think! Look at all that technology go! I like it so much now I may not move to movable type yet! I say that as if I was steadily working on this so called move to movable type and have now decided to stop. As opposed to doing nothing about it, which I was doing... which was nothing.
In another news, I am delaying my trip to Paris next month. Planning a trip with such short advance notice is a) costly and b) stressful. Plus Sunny needs to find a new apartment since she has since moved from her apartment and currently has no place to live until further notice. So I may go in September instead. I have a tattoo I'd like so she's already going to start working on a drawing for me. It's one I've wanted for a long long time and I think I'll just take the plunge and get it finally. Sure would be easier if she lived nearby! I'm okay with it all though. Monetarily it's the best decision.
My dad and stepmom were just in town for a few days. They had a nice time. We ate lots of great ethnic foods (since Virginia seems to have a shortage of good ethnic food)and did some sightseeing. I went on my first wine tasting trip ever to Bonnie Doon Winery with them. That place is in such a beautiful location and they have some of the coolest, wackiest, arty wine labels I've ever seen. I picked up a poster of this one. The wine is called "Il Circo-Uva di Troia "La Violetta" 2001". I wasn't a fan of how it tasted but the label is right up my alley. Plus the name too of course.
I'm still thinking about the implications of moving to Seattle but not in any immediate sense. It's just a thought I'm toying around with along with the many other thoughts I toy around with all the time. I know I'm not ready to move just yet though. I *heart* California. I definitely do. I just don't *heart* the cost of living here. Not one bit. I'm just not ready to commit to any big decisions like that yet! Typical.
De La Soul was a fun show last night... except all the audience was white, or asian. Where were all the bruthas and/or sistahs? Seriously! It was a hip hop show ferchrissakes! Sigh. It was fun anyway! I was representin' and sheeit.
I got a fabulous hour long "Oxygen Luxury" facial today at Beauty Clinica which I enjoyed. I had to lay there with a mask on my face a bit too long but otherwise my skin feels fabulous now. The beauty regime they recommend you do for your skin is crazy though. You need like 6 bottles of crap to do a morning/evening thing. They were nice enough to give me samples to get me hooked on a bunch of stuff they'd like me to pay for. Maybe when I'm rich. No wonder why rich people look so good. If I was rich I'd get skin treatments and massages and crap all the time. I'd be fabulous seven days a week!
Next time I'm going to try the spa in Sunnyvale. It's my goal to find the perfect spa in this area, so I'll have to slowly try them all out. I say slowly cause getting a facial ain't cheap. It's not something I'm going to be doing that often. I need a massage next I think. I have to find a good place for that too.
I found two kick ass pictures at Goodwill that match my room perfectly. They are big framed prints. I'll take photos later. It's late now and I have to bathe the dog still. He rolled in dead bird today. Yummy.
