Move?
Reasons to move to Seattle:
- Nice friendly people
- Nice city with a good music scene
- The ability to purchase a 3 plus bedroom home (with a friend) in the actual city
- New friends
- Family lives up there
- New places to see and things to do
- More job opps at Msft, more divisions
Reasons to stay in California:
- The weather!
- My job (I like my particular job, I love my boss)
- My friends! ALL of my friends! So many friends! :'(
- The food! So many varieties.
- Tapioca Tea and Squid, I'm not sure if I can live without my fix.
- The shopping!
- Proximity to LA, Tahoe and Las Vegas
I landed today and the weather was GORGEOUS and WARM. AHHH. Makes it hard to think about moving. It would be weird to leave SF. I love it here. We'll see I guess!

I'm actually talking to some folks in Irvine about a job - the producer said that she was part of an acquisition about three years ago. She was living in Santa Clara and when she and her partner went to Irvine, buying a house wasn't even on their radar but they got one within a year.
There's something to that - I mean, moving from "hard to find decent apartments" to "I can afford 20% of the houses on the market" is huge.
