Fish Sticks and Green Jello

You know my birthday is coming up. June 5th to be exact. Not many shopping days left if you feel like picking up a little something something for me! :P I added a few affordable items to my girlshop registry, hint hint! ---->

I'm going to be friggin 33 this year! I don't feel 33. I don't think I look 33. I'm not sure what 33 is supposed to look and feel like for me anyways. I thought I found a gray hair on my head today and I was totally suprised until I realized that it was actually a piece of bleached hair that was showing white again since parts of my purple hair are so faded right now. You know, 10 years ago I figured I'd be married by now. While I'm not married, I do have a pretty good job and a good life so I can't complain too much. I would have liked to own a house by now though and I'm happy that I don't have any children yet. Not ready for that kind of responsiblity just yet, thanks!

Every new year and every birthday I think, "Oh this year's going to be THE year". What I mean by that I'm not exactly sure but it definitely hasn't been THE year yet. I'm not going to be negative and think that THE year might never happen dammit. But I'm still waiting!

My birthday this year falls on a Saturday. I'll be going to dinner with what started out as a small group of friends and turned into a very LARGE group of friends. Then we'll be going to a party afterwards. I hope it's as fun as it sounds on paper! I hate planning birthday parties and get togethers. I used to try and plan big ones but it got to be too stressful. This year I opted for the most low maintenance event I could. The most I had to do was make the reservation and send out the evite. Everything else is already available, including the party. I'll be sure to post debaucherous details and photos after the fact.

So here's to hoping that a) my birthday dinner/party night is THE night and b) that this is THE year for me.
