Ebay Scammer

So this a-hole on ebay scammed my dad. We complained he jerked us around and then finally we had to complain to ebay and paypal. We then left negative feedback and filed a fraud alert. What does this guy do? Leave fake negative feedback on my dad's account then sends me fake threatening emails. What a moron! Like he knows anything about me other than whats on this blog, whoopity doo! He wasn't even creative enough to create a fake email address somewhere other than on yahoo which is where he has his email address. Oh and he keeps spamming me on paypal with 1.00 payments in 3's... weirdo, psycho, freako!

See for yourself:

Some Photos For You!

I've finally finished knitting my scarf and thought I'd share a couple of photos I took tonight. I used PolarSpun Yarn to get that fleecy fuzzy look. I was supposed to finish the cell phone cover first and I was pretty close to being done but I got sidetracked on wanting a long skinny scarf before the cold scarf wearing weather went away so a little over a week ago I went out and got yarn for this project and voila! New scarf!

I still haven't figured out how to get my camera to take photos that aren't so glaringly bright. So in the photo of Toby the scarf definitely looks day-glo but rest assured its only pink, white and hot pink... not too hot though. Shade your eyes, it hurts to look at it! (Any Sex and the City Fans reading this? Notice the bedspread in photo no. 2. That's the bedspread Carrie has in her apartment! It's called Bamboo Flowers by Calvin Klein)

And here are the hammie pics I promised in an earlier post. The first one is of Chris and Lemmi when he first got them. Chris hates this picture of himself so I had to cut it in half. :P The next two are of the Hamster cage he put together for them and of one of the hamsters in his new bed.

RIP Hammies

I first saw Lemmi and Winks at a Petco in Mountain View. Lemmi ran up to the window and put his little paw on the window as if to say Hello! I was smitten from there on out. Chris and I came back the next day and he adopted both of them. He built them a pretty spectacular space themed cage. They were little dwarf hamsters so they had some trouble climbing the tubes but overall they loved it.

Having the two of them was hours of entertainment, as they would do silly things to each other like sit on each others heads, bite each others tummys and squeek loudly as they got into little pissy fights. Chris even sang their own little hamster song to them. Lemmi passed away over Christmas, we still don't know why. He seemed so spunky and healthy and he was by far the nicest one. He never bit us and was always happy and bright eyed. He probably died from old age since they both seemed older when we got them and hamsters don't live long as it is.

Today Winks (the grumpy one) passed on... he was doing poorly... one eye was squinty, he had a bad case of mites, and one little paw had very long nails on it. He also drank too much water, much more than necessary for a hamster his size. I took him to the vet and learned that he had an upper respiratory infection and most likely kidney failure. We decided to have him put to sleep. I accompanied him to the "back room" where he was put in a little plastic box and they gassed him to sleep. They then took him out of the box and injected something into his heart. It killed him instantly. It was the saddest thing I've seen in a very long time. I still get choked up thinking about it.

RIP Little Guys!

(I'll post some pics later)

New DigiCam!

I got a new digital camera finally. A Canon S400 4 megapixel jobbie. I like it a lot. I also got a Canon i900D Photo Printer but for some lame reason they don't include a USB cable! I was able to print a photo directly from the memory card to the printer but not from my PC. So I had to settle for taking a quick shot of the dog and printing it out. All I can say is I can't believe I never got a photo printer before now. Who needs film ever again!? The photo came out perfectly. PERFECTLY! I printed it on Glossy Photo Pro paper and it's amazing!

Okay enough of that. I've started my first knitting project and I took a photo of it. No flash in some weird lighting. I'm the worst photographer in the world so please don't blame the camera. It's not its fault.

Yes people, it's a cell phone cover. Well it's the beginnings of one. Small project so I hope I will be done sooner than later. I'm proud that I just learned how to knit with multiple colors but what a total nightmare it is. Ah well at least when I'm done my phone will have a nice new cover or else Chris' hamster will have a new sweater (he keeps saying I'm knitting a hamster sweater, heh).

TSO Addict

I'm addicted to The Sims Online. That's all I do these evenings. It's not that exciting of a game per se, but it's fun! I have all the other regular sims games too. I guess I love building things. It's like playing house or grocery store owner when you were a kid. Same idea.

I picked up a new knitting book tonight. It's called Stitch 'N Bitch: The Knitter's Handbook. I taught myself how to knit a few years back and I was making a scarf for an ex, then we split up and I kept knitting the scarf out of depression. The scarf is pretty long now but I don't want to finish it. Instead I'd like to do something cool I found in this book like make a cell phone cover or a nice keyhole scarf. The only problem is it all looks a lot harder than I remember it being. Heh. Plus, knitting isn't easy if you're not a seasoned pro, you wind up having to pull out stitches and redo them. It takes up a lot of your time when you're first getting the hang of it. Tomorrow I'll go pick up some new needles and some yarn and a few other needed supplies... Maybe I can knit AND play The Sims Online at the same time! :P

Did I mention by the way that I got a new Slow Cooker for Christmas? It's my new favorite thing. I've made a whole stewed chicken and pork chops with mushroom sauce so far. Tomorrow night I'll have Swiss Steak. It's so easy to use. I love it! Why doesn't everyone make food in slow cookers? What a time saver! I even wrote a glowing review about it on Amazon. Just look for Violet02's review and give me a helpful vote if you're so inclined.

Happy New Year and all that...

Ahh the first post of the new year. I haven't even been blogging a whole year yet. New Year's eve was fun this year. My friend Shawn had a big party at his new loft/office space in SF. It went all night long and I had a great time!

One thing I'm going to do this new year is fix up my blog. Starting now. So from now on you can click on the thumbnails to view the photos, instead of me posting the whole photo on here thereby increasing people's load time.

Here's a photo of Libby, Shawn, Myself and Angela at the party:

Okay now for my New Year's Resolutions (drum roll please):
  • Go to the gym and do the Power of 10, and try to stick with it for as long as possible (at least 6 weeks to gauge results)
  • Lose 5-10lbs of fat
  • Save more, Spend Less
  • Clean up my credit report
  • Not owe the IRS 2004 taxes
  • Eat out less, Cook at home more
  • Take my dog for more/longer walks
  • Start knitting again and make myself a scarf
  • Fix up my website and blog
  • Meet new people
  • Read more, spend less time zoned out on the computer
  • Hang pictures in my apartment
  • Continue taking French and really apply myself
  • Travel, travel, travel
  • Stop sweating the small stuff
  • Find my work drive again
  • Try to cut out almost all sugar and eat less carbs (tough one)

Okay that's for starters. Let's see if I can do that much. I would say take Yoga and learn to sew but with that list above and the dog training classes I have to go to this year I doubt I'll pull it all off. Let's just say those are my "stretch goals". I wish I was one of those driven go go go maniac types. I'm just way too lazy.
