Coachella News
Here's some stuff I picked up off the site and the message boards, FYI:
UPDATE 4/29:- The set times have been released! Here are just a few of the conflicts I'm feeling pained over:
Bloc Party vs Bauhaus
Chemical Brothers vs Coldplay vs Fantomas
The Bravery vs The Futureheads
This year they have the Coachooser, which allows you to customize a schedule of who you want to see, pretty sweet! Looks like I may miss Bloc Party how can I NOT see Bauhaus?! Jumping back and forth can be pointless too, they're not THAT close together, plus the crowds are huge at the bigger shows so you don't want to wade through that each time.

4/27
- The set times will be release one to two days before the show. So Thursday or Friday we'll be able to see who's playing at the same time we want to see someone else play. That's always fun.
- The Doves cancelled. I guess the lead singer has throat problems. Bummer!
- There's a rumor that The Bravery got dropped off the bill but I still see them on the lineup so I assume they're still playing.

- Bauhaus is playing a special "secret" show at a small venue in Pomona Thursday night. If you want to know where, they go peruse the message boards!
- There's a Coachella music player on the website if you want to hear songs from the lineup.
- There's usually a suprise performer every year. 2003 Perry Farrell showed up to DJ, whoopity doo. Not sure what else happened. I read that there may be a secret "campground show". Sounds interesting!
- Apparently it will be the whole Prodigy crew, Liam, Keith and Maxim, yay!
- The weather will be mid-80's, best weather yet! Last year I heard it was around 100+. Year before last it was definitley 90's. HOT, TOO HOT. Mid 80's though... GREAT!
- Woah, apparently one of the singers for Thievery Corporation killed themselves. Yikes! I read about this on the message boards. They played year before last. They'll be playing in SF weekend after this one.

That's just terrible about the Thievery Corporation's singer. I saw that she was the singer on Lebanese Blonde...that's one of my favorite tracks.

i would love to go to coachella! damn work! but at least i can look forward to smaller shows... will be seeing weezer, lcd soundsystem & mia, bloc party and rilo kiley in the next 2 months. yay!
