Music music and more music!
Wow, I've immersed myself in music lately. I've discovered so many new bands to listen to that I finally feel really excited about music again. K and I were going to see Rooney tonight but we weren't up to it. Instead I ran some errands and worked on converting my music files over to mp3's as well as do my second favorite pastime of late which is to re-watch Season 1 of Arrested Development! I love that show! Plus watching my favorite shows, going out with real friends and listening to music tends to cut the drama factor out of life by about 1000%.
Also, it looks like I AM going to be able to catch Oasis in September after all and I got an early birthday present given to me in way of my Fischerspooner ticket, yay thanks K! My birthday dinner this year will be a smaller affair so we don't have to yell table to table and have one minute snippets of conversation. Instead of 22 people it'll be more like 12. We'll be hitting a nice french restaurant that can be pricey or er.... less pricey, depending on what you order I guess. We'll follow up an early dinner by heading to the Fillmore for Fischerspooner then after, who knows! And no you don't get to know the name of the restaurant until we've gone! Then I'll write a full review.
Also I got complaints about the Oasis file not working. I put an mp3 up there instead of the .wma file that wasn't working. The only weird thing is that you can no longer control the volume on the embedded player. Can anyone tell me why the volume control is now missing? There's no reason why the control should disappear just because it's an mp3 file. Does it have something to do with the encoding? Help! Be sure to let me know if this file's a dud too. Thanks.

Yup, I got the file this time. Although Firefox required an update to the quicktime plugin. pugh!
Spoke to soon, I couldn't get the Quicktime plugin to load but IE was able to load the file into the WMP plugin, played fine, and the volume control worked ok. I don't know what kind of embedding code your using because normally I can play quicktime files fine but it your code I get an error asking me to install the plugin, which I know is already installed.
