Kung Fu Hustle aka Gong Fu
I just saw this movie in the theater tonight. Ohman was it funny! I was laughing my ass off throughout most of it. It was hilarious, touching, sweet and violent. The violence wasn't gorey and over the top but just the suggestive nature of the violence in some scenes make it too much for kids to see it I think. Maybe too much for some conservative adults even.
I have yet to see Shaolin Soccer but I'm going to check that out next for sure. Go see Kung Fu Hustle if you haven't yet! Support Stephen Chow and foreign films. Check out the official movie site or view the imdb page.

I am going to start going to movies by myself instead of going to bars by myself. I think that would be a good plan, money better spent, healthier, and I will get into less trouble. Oh and I look better in the dark!

Loved this film. The revisionist take on the genre was really well done but this is actually common amoung Stephen Chiau's movies. It's cool that a lot of the same actors in Shaolin Soccer are also in this flick. I think I definitely need to own this movie when it's available on disc.
