Missing Wallet at IKEA East Palo Alto - REWARD!

I'm posting this just in case whoever found my wallet looks me up...

I lost it possibly around 6pm+ Wednesday July 20th. I think it fell out of my pocket at IKEA in East Palo Alto,CA somewhere between the lighting section and the self serve furniture section. That's my guess at least. Although a walk through of that area didn't turn up anything.

It's a black Kenneth Cole Wallet with a big silver button snap in the front. I had a million pieces of papers and cards in that wallet. The biggest loss for me in that deal was my license and the wallet itself, since it matches my purse and wasn't cheap.

If you found my wallet know the following:
- All credit cards were canceled immediately
- My Bank card was canceled immediately
- CA DMV will be alerted today for potential identity theft/fraudulent use of my license, in case someone decides to use it in a traffic stop etc.
- All credit bureaus will be alerted to potential fraud/identity theft issues. This puts a flag on my reports and any companies that receive credit applications will have to call me first before they can process the app.
- Any other service cards that could potentially be used are now canceled, replaced, flagged or password protected.

I would hope that there would be good samaritan who'd want to turn it in. But at least I'm protected just in case.

UPDATE:
I called IKEA again today and no one turned my wallet in. I spent the whole day running around getting passport photos to renew my passport as a backup ID as well as going to the DMV etc. Just about everything has been taken care of. Now I have to go buy a new wallet! Hrmmm, maybe that's not such a bad thing... :)

Ring Sizing Help Please!

I'm trying to figure out what size to make rings. I'm basically going to make one of a kind rings with heavy gauge silver wire and beads. Not unlike the rings from an earlier post that I'd made in a class I took.

I read that the average women's ring size is a 6. I thought that's what size I made the rings that I have. I made them for my ring finger which I thought was a 6 but to be honest I really think I have bigger fingers than the average woman. Fat fingers! Anyways once I get my ring mandrel I'll know a bit better about what the size of those rings are.

Here's what I need. It might seem to be a lot of work. Hopefull you alreaday know your ring size and can get the info from co-workers, friends or family pretty quickly.

- What's your ring size?
- What are the ring sizes of any other people you know?

Bonus Question: What finger(s) do you wear your rings on?

** If you don't have the answers to these questions then please use this chart: How to find your ring size

Email me or leave me comments. Thanks!

Scientology and Tom Cruise - Be very afraid...

I always find things online that I think are really interesting. I constantly spam my friends with various links telling them that they "have to read this". I see a lot of sites are putting up posts periodically with links that they've found interesting and that's something that I think would be cool to do since I'm constantly surfing the web. This will save me some emailing as well. I'll add some sort of web links/web gems type post later.

For now, my latest fascination has been around the whole Katie Holmes/Tom Cruise/Scientology craze. I've been spending some time reading up on this. This is some scary scary stuff. I'm still in disbelief at how many people really buy into this crap. Wow.

Here is some interesting reading on Scientology:

Here are some articles on Tom Cruise and some infamous clips:

Okay, lots of reading for when you're bored. With all that said, I loved Batman Begins, although Katie Holmes added zero to that movie. In fact she was the worst part of it. Thank god she wasn't in it for very long. Awful. War of the Worlds was a lot of fun as well, except for the last five minutes, total cop out. Otherwise a thrilling summer blockbuster. Tom Cruise was good in it too.

So all those people out there that say all this crap about Tom Cruise is going to influence if they see his movies or not are full of it. It's easy to be indignant about this stuff and make statements about how he's ruining his career etc etc but you know it's not really ruining his career. It's like those times when you go to a store and you happen to get one rude sales girl and you make a HUGE statement about how you'd never shop there again but you know you're going to anyways because where else are you going to buy that particular thing that you like? Not to draw comparisons to the Oprah/Hermes thing and maybe my analogy wasn't great but I'm sure you know where I'm trying to go with that.

Honestly yes I think he's a nut but I'd totally see War of the Worlds again. I saw Batman Begins twice already. Christian Bale is an amazing actor though so who cares about whats-her-name.
