Gay bands are invading your home

Theo posted this on MySpace. I don't get some of the comments like:
Marilyn Manson (dark gay) or George Michael (texan). Texan? Dark Gay? Are those gay music genres? This one was amusing though: Ted Nugent (loincloth)

Although this does appear to be a real site, especially after some more poking around I do wonder a bit if it's fake. Particularly because of their "C.H.O.P.S (Changing Homosexuals Into Ordinary People)" program. It's just too ridiculous:

Religion can be ridiculous at times though.

Toby's got a brand new bed

So I've been searching for a new dog bed for awhile. Toby had this crappy leopard donut shaped bed for years. He slobbered, barfed and chewed on it plenty of times. It was time for that POS to go! Of course I buy him a super nice bed at PetSmart and he won't sleep in it so back it went. Pft. I went to Petco the other day and saw a super cute bed that was about $30.00 but it was so poorly made. On the other end of things when I first got Toby I got him one of these (don't forget to tack on the extra $65.00 for the cover, ouch). He uses it in the living room but it's just not that cute for how much dough it cost. It needs a new cover. Anyways, my stepmom had two super cute dog beds that I saw over xmas. She said she got them at Target. I went to Target and got the super cutest bed ever for only $19.99! Good quality too. Target rules! Btw, they have a crazy unreal selection of beds/furniture online. I had no idea.

Tigger is bad

I find this kind of hilarious. I think Tigger was my friend Dave's favorite Winnie the Pooh character. I seem to recall him owning Tigger sweatshirts and stuff. Good times.

Justin Timberlake makes me laugh!

Maybe this is a guilty pleasure (to my friends probably), but I love Justin Timberlake! I disliked N'Sync, except for one song maybe, but I love solo Justin. I even bought his latest album the day it came out. He's really talented. I mean it! And NO I have NEVER been a 'boy band' fan. I think it's cool to like a wide variety of music. There's so much out there why get stuck on one type?

Anyways he did SNL recently and it was hilarious. I'm sure most of you have seen the 'Dick in a Box' skit. It's spread like wildfire. Just in case you haven't though here's the uncensored version. A must see. I'm also including a few other choice hilarious skits.

I thought 'Homelessville' was even funnier. This is a followup to an earlier show where he did a skit called 'Omletteville'.

Here's 'Omletteville'. Dance Break!

If you're not a JT fan here's a few primer vids for you. His latest album is called 'FutureSex / LoveSounds'.

Here's his first big single off his latest album. 'Sexy Back'. The concept and the way he modified his voice for the song is really cool. He sang the song through a modulator. They didn't do it after the fact.

His latest single, "My Love". This is the video for it.

Here's the live SNL version. Introduced by Cameron Diaz. I read recently they either just broke up or broke up a couple of weeks ago and it just became public (I read perezhilton.com and Pink is the New Blog daily!). They dated for 3 1/2 years or something. This is in line with my theory of "If they don't want to marry you after year two (or one), then they probably never will". I've known a lot of couples who pass a certain point and NEVER get married. You can make that statement say year 3 or 4 but not much more than that. I've also seen quite a few "We were going to break up but we got married instead" couples. They usually lasted through 6 months of marriage then got divorced. This generally occurs after year four. Either that or they are both commitment-phobes (true) or they really didn't break up. Yes yes, who the hell cares. Okay, tangent DONE. Back to the clip!

EDIT: ** This one is longer available. NBC doesn't like their live performances to be out and about on YouTube. **

I like JT's older stuff too but it was even LESS popular to admit that back then. :P That was back when I was a closeted fan.

If you go to youtube.com and type 'Justin Timberlake SNL' you can find all kinds of fun clips. I like the Nick Lachey/Jessica Simpson skit with Jimmy Fallon (another guy who rules!) as Nick and Justin as Jessica. Too funny. I guess you had to watch 'Newlyweds' to think it's funny, or at least be up on current 'celebrity' events.

EDIT: I had to fix this post because (one reason why I hate youtube) some of the videos were no longer available. Bleh. Anyways while I was there finding the link again for the Newlyweds clip I found the original clip. Here you go!

PS: Email me if these things don't work.

Giant Squid Redux!

"A live, adult giant squid has been caught on camera in the wild for the very first time."

As you well know, if you've been reading my blog since er.. day two, I love giant squids. There's something mysterious and creepy about them since they've never been caught on film until now! No one's ever really seen the GIANT giant squids either. There's a whole other world at the bottom of the ocean that we haven't discovered yet.

Check out the article and watch the video. You can find the link to the video on the upper right hand part of the page.

Oh btw, I found this photo which compliments my original blog post on giant squids. This is a Colossal squid which was found in Antartic waters. The largest one found of it's kind.

AND for the diehard fans, here's a fact sheet on Giant Squids and Colossal Squids OR you can read about Weird Squid Sex.

I found this article online with a photo from a book called 'Extreme Nature'. Apparently the photo was in a newspaper which everyone thought was real. Scary.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy New Year!

How did I celebrate this one? Talked on the phone with my friend at midnight. Tried out my Babyliss hot roller set earlier in the evening. Took a fat nap and ate a turkey burger.

Thrill a minute! :)

At least it was a safe, healthy and alcohol free NYE for me. First one in YEARS.
